With the passing of his mother, Bjorn attends the sombre funeral reception with his little sister Ellen and their aunt Renée. When Ellen starts asking about her mother's return, Bjorn is determined to do what he believes is right. While adult discussions lead nowhere, a touch of fate allows the siblings a chance of saying a common farewell.
