Festival de Cannes has announced the complete lineup for the 74th edition, sets to return in July. And that’s such a good news to know it will finally be back with in person event!🤵🏾
The other good news is that many countries usually underrepresented will be featured at this year Cannes Film Festival, including Iran 🇮🇷 with Asghar Farhadi, Russia 🇷🇺 with Kirill Serebrennikov, Thailand 🇹🇭 with Apichatpong Weerasethakul and also Chad 🇹🇩 with Mahamat-Saleh Haroun.
There will also be some special screenings during the festival: one of the most anticipated is Todd Haynes’ documentary about The Velvet Underground, premiered out of competition.
Cannes also confirmed Jodie Foster will receive the Honorary Palme d’Or at the 2021 festival and be the guest of honor at the opening night ceremony. 🌴
